SUP - Downwind Boards

Downwinding is a discipline that was born like many sports in Hawaii where they have strong cross shore winds creating big ocean swells. Whilst those conditions are not that common, Europe and specifically the UK is pretty windy! We do get plenty of wind swell and with some planning there are plenty of opportunities for downwind paddling. This is one for more experienced paddlers, and it requires the skills and confidence to be out in the open ocean, but it can also be very rewarding and fun.

Downwind specific SUPs are generally 14ft long to provide effortless glide, and their nose shapes are designed to rise above the water to stop you from nose diving.
