Collection: Foil - Leash
A foil leash does the same job as any leash — keeping you connected to your board — but the style you choose makes a real difference depending on how you ride. What makes them foil specific is typically the dimensions, a 6ft coil is rarely used for surfing, and is too short for use with a SUP.
The main consideration for most foilers is keeping the cord away from the foil and out from under your feet. A coiled leash solves this neatly: it sits tidy, doesn't trail in the water, and stays out of the way whether you're winging, downwinding, or SUP foiling. Surflogic's coiled foil leash covers all three attachment options — waist, calf, and ankle — so you can pick whatever suits your stance and preference. Waist attachment is particularly popular with wingers and paddlers as it keeps the leash completely clear of the footpad area. However if using a waist leash for your wing, then the ankle or calf option would be perfect.
For prone foiling, where you're paddling into waves and the dynamics are closer to surfing, a straight leash is often the preferred choice. Surflogic's standard surf leash works well here — familiar feel, no coil to manage, and plenty of cord length to keep the board away from you in a wipeout.
