Wings are relatively simple bits of kit — inflate, grab, go — but there are a few accessories that make a real difference to how they work and how safe they are. Everything here is from Ozone, who make the wings we stock, so it all integrates cleanly.
Leash Lines
The wing leash keeps the wing attached to your wrist when you let go, which you'll do constantly when you're learning and more regularly than you'd think when you're not. Ozone offer the Swivel Leash Line V3 for standard wings — the swivel prevents the line twisting up during a session — and the Parawing Leash Line for the parawing specifically, which attaches differently given how a parawing is held and deployed. Neither is expensive and both are worth having from day one.
Harness Lines
If you're using a harness with your wing, you need a harness line to connect the two. Ozone offer the Bungee Harness Line V3 — stretchy, which absorbs gusts and reduces shock loading — and the Fixed Harness Line for those who prefer a direct, no-stretch connection. The choice between them comes down to personal preference; a lot of riders start on bungee and move to fixed as they get more dialled in. The Harness Hook is the small plastic hook that clips onto your harness spreader bar and connects to the line — cheap, easy to lose, worth having a spare.
The Wing Waist Strap and Wrist Strap are for attaching the wing or harness line directly to your body if you're not using a full harness — a simple and lightweight option for those who don't want to commit to a harness setup.
Parawing Stash Belts and Harnesses
The parawing introduces a new challenge that a standard hand wing doesn't have: when you're not actively flying it, you need somewhere to put it. You can't just let it trail in the water. The Ozone Parawing Stash Belt (£70) is a waist belt with a stash pocket that you stuff the collapsed parawing into between runs — it's the standard solution and works well. The Stash Belt V2 is the updated version with an improved closure. The Parawing Stash Harness (£104.99) is a full harness version for those who want the stash function and hook-in capability in one unit — useful if you're doing longer sessions or want a more secure fit. All three also work as hook-in harnesses for winging.
Pump
The Ozone Kite Pump V2 is a standard double-action pump for inflating your wing's leading edge and struts. Compatible with all Ozone wings and most other brands. Not glamorous, but worth having a decent one rather than fighting a cheap pump at the water's edge.
Hook Knife
The hook knife is a safety cutter for lines and leashes in an emergency. Small, light, and the kind of thing you hope you never need. Clip it to your harness or belt.
