Whether to ride strapped or strapless is a personal choice that varies by discipline and riding style. Straps give you more direct connection to the board — useful for powered winging, jumping, or riding in choppier conditions. Strapless keeps things more surf-like and free underfoot.
If you're going strapped, the AXIS straps are the obvious starting point — designed from scratch specifically for foiling, not adapted from kite or surf hardware. Both the single strap and V-strap use webbing-reinforced EVA and are deliberately flexible, so you can step on or over them during a tack or jibe without getting caught up. TORX T30 screws and retainer washers are included.
The single strap suits a conventional two-strap setup front and back. The V-strap is AXIS's own front strap design — a one-piece V-shape that centres your stance and eliminates the need for multiple row inserts, with three mounting holes on each side for precise fit adjustment.
