Blurr V3 and BLine Twin - New Surf Shapes from Infinity

Blurr V3 and BLine Twin - New Surf Shapes from Infinity

Infinity have been one of a very small number of brands in the SUP space where innovation and development has continued happening year after year in surf shapes. Their line up offers a wide array of shapes and sizes to cater for pretty much everyone from first timer to pro. Last year they introduced their first twin fin, the Escape Pod.

For autumn 2025 they have introduced two new surf shapes - the Blurr V3 and the BLine Twin.

Infinity Blurr V3

This is an update on the popular performance shortboard inspired shape - the Blurr. This board has the classic pro shape with pulled in tail and nose. This is the kind of board which is capable of charging big waves and handling all kinds of conditions.

A moderate rocker, a lot of scoop on the nose, a flat deck with a rolled step rail. This keeps volume in the middle of the board and gives a narrow rail to help dig it into the water. A major highlight is the new deckpad which is much thinner, heat embossed and includes a lot of details to help keep it light and aid with foot placement.

Another major feature is the new handle Dave has designed. It has a similar small opening as the old handle, but the depth has massively increased allowing you to get a much better grip on the board.

The bottom shape has also been updated with the classic single concave now moving to a double at the rear. The board comes as a 5 fin as opposed to just a 3 like the Blurr V2 - it is still recommended to be ridden as a thruster, but comes with the quads too for those who prefer the feel.

Infinity BLine Twin

The BLine Twin is a new model. It expands the twin fin offering which started with the Escape Pod. That board is a short, stubby model, but this BLine is a much higher performance model. The original BLine was designed as a hybrid between the performance Blurr V3 and the more generous models like the Wide Speed. It has more generous and stable dimensions than the Blurr but still a shortboard inspired outline. The rocker is flatter than a Blurr V3 and is designed to be ridden a bit shorter.

The rails are thicker than a Blurr and with a tucked edge which helps it keep speed. Together with the twin fin set up, it really helps make the board fast, which is what it is all about.

Like the new Blurr V3 it features the new deck pad design and deeper handle. The board as the name suggests is a twin fin - and as such it comes with a twin set up. The third box is for a small trailer fin which can help when conditions are bigger.

Blurr V3 vs BLine Twin - which is right for you?

These boards are both fairly shortboard inspired but still pretty different. The short answer is that the boards compliment each other. The Blurr V3 is the classic shortboard shape and is the one you will want to grab for bigger days with steeper waves. The BLine Twin is going to be the one for smaller days where you want the board to be fast and easy to maintain speed on.
