Sooruz Guru Pro Wetsuit Review

Sooruz Guru Pro Wetsuit Review

The most high performance wetsuit in the Sooruz range. Designed with flexibility in mind the Guru Pro is also probably the most popular suit in the range as it ticks so many boxes.

I've been a Guru+ fan for a number of years now, but decided to try out the 4/3 Guru Pro for my shoulder season suit a couple of years ago as I tend to spend the bulk of the year in it - and surfing in a Guru+ 4/3mm through the British summertime feels massively overkill when we get those warmer periods. I have now added a 5/3 which fits nicely in towards the end of the year where there's a bit more chill around but i'm not quite ready for the captivity of a hooded 6mm.

The biggest difference between the Guru+ and Pro is the amount of their Storm Dry fleece material used. This material keeps you super warm and on the Guru+ range it runs right down to the ankles, whereas the pro it finishes above the knees. Tie this in with a lack of liquid seams on the Guru Pro and you get a lighter, more flexible suit most suited to disciplines like surfing and paddling where flexibility is key.

The versatility of the Guru Pro makes for a great suit for the vast majority of wetsuit users who might be unlikely to be getting into the cold waters of the UK come January/February/March time. If you're looking for a 3/2, 4/3 or 5/4/3 full suit for use in the UK April through to Christmas, the Guru Pro is a banger.
