AXIS Power Carbon KAIWI Mast & Base Plate 780cm
The latest innovation in mast design from Adrian and the AXIS Team. Initially a sanded down UHM mast for the Hawaiian downwind races, this has evolved into the uber slick Kaiwi mast we see today - designed to be as quick through the water as possible. Suited for downwind riders predominently, but many of the team are using these as their every day mast now, for all use. As a heavier rider though it may well be a better idea to stick to the UHM mast - reducing the chord this much also reduces some stiffness, so the UHM will still be a better option.

The Kaiwi mast is a pure performance mast designed to minimize drag and maximize glide efficiency for downwind racing, pump foiling, and prone foiling. While our Ultra Pro and Fatty masts deliver superior stiffness and enhanced control for heavier riders and larger-span wings, neither can match the efficiency and minimal drag that make the Kaiwi so effective in glide-dominated disciplines. For riders focused on maximizing glide, maintaining speed, and extracting every ounce of performance from their foil, the Kaiwi sets a new benchmark.
